Ancient Pine, 2020. paper collage on canvas, black frame. 24" x 36" This canvas represents the artist’s beginning exploration of returning excavated images to a version of the natural world. Included are remnants of cave paintings, mummies, and wood totems.

Colonization, 2019. paper collage, bark, and sticks on canvas, gold frame. 30" x 60" This canvas sparked a large body of work. It explores the third dimension of adding wood to the canvas and the idea of pulling the viewer in via a landscape to then discover the theme. In this case, colonization and civil war.

She/her/they/them, 2018 - 2021. paper collage. 24" x 36" The central figure is composed of photos, paintings, sculptures & tapestries made by humans throughout time as well as fur and wood. She is connected to the earth through time & gravity. Intruders are visually small but insidious. They include agriculture, fire, industry, religion, police, and colonizers.

Untitled, 2020 - 2021, paper collage, paint, wood and bark, 36" x 48" The shadow is present day. The ground and forest hold older shadows composed of cave paintings, fur, ancient tapestries, bison, and an Arawak family in the forest. The Taino, an Arawak subgroup, were the first native peoples encountered by Christopher Columbus on Hispaniola.

Rest, 2021. paper collage and bark on canvas, 2021, gold frame. 36" x 48" The forest floor contains a multitude of mummies from different cultures and times: mummies from Qilakitsog, Greenland, the Moche woman mummy from Peru, the Mummies of Llullaillaco, Inca children mummies found in Argentina, and members of King Tut’s family including his father, Akenaten, from Egypt. The bright fire mirrors the color of the feathers that adorned some of the mummies and reflects the current-day catastrophes of unmanageable wildfires and the mass burials of indigenous children being unearthed. Sold.

Untitled, 2021, paper collage and bark, 36" x 45" The shadow is the past reaching forward. The red border encapsulates a collage of flora, fauna, and a Mongolian signpost from between 1100 and 800 B. C. before Genghis Khan’s domination.
